SFX Ripped Mouth Makeup Look | Halloween Makeup

Hi everyone! I hope you all are having a great week! Spooky Season is among us, and with Halloween coming up quick, I thought I would spend some time working on my SFX skills and coming up with looks that you all can try this Halloween!

I did this ripped mouth look yesterday, and it is definitely one of my favorite SFX looks I’ve ever done (and not just because I terrified my dad in the process of it). I love how it turned out, so I figured I would show you all how you can achieve this same look for Halloween!

First things first, you’re going to want to do your eye makeup and a base of foundation, concealer and powder. I just did a pretty simple eye using the BH Cosmetics Opalescent Palette, but feel free to do whatever eye look you want!

Once that’s done, you’re going to grab a red lipstick and apply it really messily around your mouth. And when I say messy, I mean MESSY! Channel your inner clown or Miranda Sings and just go for it.

Then you’re going to grab some liquid latex, toilet paper, and any makeup sponge. I like to use the cheap disposable makeup wedges so I don’t have to worry about the latex ruining a beauty blender.

You’re going to want to take your toilet paper and rip it into thin strands like you see in the picture below. Once you have a few strands ripped and prepped just leave those to the side for now

Go ahead and grab your liquid latex; you can use any latex, I use the one by Mehron Makeup. What you’re going to do is take a little bit onto your makeup wedge and start by applying a little bit above your mouth.

Then taking one of your toilet paper strands you’re going to carefully place the top of the strand over that latex. Following with another thin layer of latex over that.

Taking some more latex, you’re going to go ahead and apply a small amount to your chin, or wherever you want the end of your “mouth” to be, and carefully attach the other end of the toilet paper strand to that, again following with a another thin layer of latex over that spot.

Keep in mind, you want to work pretty quickly while doing this to ensure that the latex doesn’t get too dry.

You’re just going to repeat those steps over and over until you have the base of the mouth done, which should look something like this!

Next your going to grab some translucent powder and lightly set the spots that have latex on them.

You’re then going to grab your foundation and carefully apply it over the latex and toilet paper so it can blend in with your skin.

Keep blending the edges as best you can until it looks as seamless as possible before setting it with some more translucent powder.

Then, you’re going to grab a small brush and some fake blood-I used the Ben Nye Thick Blood-you’re going to to carefully apply it between and behind the toilet paper.

I applied a thin messy layer of the blood all over before grabbing my Morphe x James Charles palette and dipping into the shade ‘Spooky’ with another small brush. With this, I’m just going to carefully add some shadowing behind the layers of toilet paper and around my lips.

Going back to the fake blood, I’m going to really dig into it so the blood on my brush is darker, thicker, and almost clot like and apply this sporadically in the gaps to add even more detail.

Continue playing around with the blood and black shadow until you’re happy with the look.

and there you have it! A fun, creepy look for you to rock this Halloween!

I am obsessed with how this look turned out! If any of you decide to recreate it be sure to tag me! I would love to see your guys’ looks!

Dramatic Fourth of July Makeup!

thumbnail

Hey Beauties!

Today is the fourth and final day of my Fourth of July makeup series!

This look is definitely the most dramatic out of all four looks, but I’m obsessed with it! I don’t know how things are where you guys live, but here in California we are all definitely having to adjust our usual Fourth of July festivities, but regardless of what your holiday plans may be, we can still do a full glam right?!

IMG_2890_Facetune_01-07-2020-17-58-10

As usual, I am going to be using my Morphe x James Charles palette (I know I use it in every look, but hey, I love it and it has all the colors I could ever need okay?)

Screen Shot 2020-06-29 at 9.06.37 PM

First we’re going to dip into the shade ‘You’re Kidding’ and blend this out in my crease.

This shade is also going to be smudged across my lower lash line, and I’m going to drag it down a good amount, and really smoking it out.

Screen Shot 2020-07-02 at 9.36.35 PM

Then going into the shade ‘Boutique’ I’m going to apply this into my crease as well to add some depth. However, I’m going to keep this shade much lower in the crease and then blending it well into ‘You’re Kidding’

With a small detailing brush, I’m going to smudge this shade across my lower lash line, however this shade I’m not going to blend down as much as the last color, I’m going to keep it right along the lashes.

Next, you’re going to grab a clean makeup wipe and begin to carefully remove any makeup that got onto your lid, and carefully outline where you are going to cut your crease, before grabbing your concealer and going ahead and cutting the crease.

Screen Shot 2020-07-02 at 9.39.50 PM

For my lid, I’m going to be using my ‘Always On Liquid Eye Shadow’ by smash box in the shade ‘Mindful’ and applying this all over my lid, using a small eyeshadow brush to spread it out evenly.

Screen Shot 2020-07-02 at 10.47.27 AM

To set that I’m going back to my James Charles palette and taking the shade ‘Acapella’ on a flat shadow brush and patting it right over that liquid eyeshadow.

Next, grabbing any liquid black eyeliner, I’m using my BH Cosmetics liquid eyeliner, you’re going to just draw a normal wing.

Once the wing is done, I’m going to grab a royal blue pencil eyeliner and apply this to my waterline.

After that, with a small detailing brush I’m going to take my BH Cosmetics Base Booster Glitter Glue and apply this in a triangle shape right underneath my eye.

Then with that small brush, which at this point will be tacky from the glitter glue on it, I’m going to dip into these loose glitters and apply them onto that glitter glue right under my eye. I’m not doing this in any certain powder, I’m just going to alternate between the red and silver glitter and press them onto the skin until I’m happy with it.

Finally, just simply apply some lashes and mascara and you are all done!

IMG_2889_Facetune_01-07-2020-17-55-48

Alright, that is the finished look and the end of my Fourth of July makeup series!

Fourth of July Cut Crease Makeup look | Part three!

thumbnail

Hey Beauties!

Welcome to day 3 of my Fourth of July makeup series!

The last two looks, were definitely a little more understated, perfect for someone that just wants a subtle yet patriotic look. However, today we are dipping into some more color and creating this beautiful patriotic half cut crease!

I love this look because even though it’s colorful and a little out there, it’s not too much and can definitely still be worn out, whatever your Fourth of July plans may be!

close up

First things first, we want to prep our lids, you can do this with a primer or a concealer. I’m just using some concealer and a little bit of setting powder.

Screen Shot 2020-07-01 at 9.19.11 PM

Then, going into my Morphe x James Charles Palette, I’m taking the shades ‘Cola’ and Acapella’ on a fluffy blending brush, and I’m going to apply this to my crease.

Screen Shot 2020-07-01 at 9.24.02 PM

With another blending brush, I’m going to pick up the shade ‘playground’ and apply this slightly above the last two shades, before blending them all together.

Screen Shot 2020-07-02 at 10.40.49 AM

Next going into the shade ‘ring light’ on a smaller shadow brush, I’m going to apply this to my brow bone.

Then grabbing a clean makeup wipe, I’m going to clean up any fallout, and start to carefully remove the makeup on my lid. Once my lid is clean, I’m going to take a little bit of concealer and a flat concealer brush and cut my crease.

Screen Shot 2020-07-02 at 10.45.19 AM

Next taking a flat shadow brush, I’m going to dip into the shade ‘flashback’  and apply this all over my lid and the inner corner of my eye.

Screen Shot 2020-07-02 at 10.47.27 AM

After that, I’m taking going to go back into the shade ‘Acapella’ and smoke out the outer corner of my eye.

I’m also going to take this shade on a small detailing brush and smudge this across my lower lash line.

Moving onto eyeliner, if you saw yesterday’s post, you’ll know that I can’t find a shade of red eyeliner that I like anywhere (let me know if you guys know a good one!) so instead of using a typical liner I’m taking a liner brush and my Ben Nye Rainbow Wheel, and I’m just going to dip into the red face paint and draw a wing on with that.

Screen Shot 2020-06-29 at 9.06.37 PM

Because we did obviously use a face paint for eyeliner, I want to make sure it’s really set in place and it’s not going to smear anywhere so on another liner brush, I’m going back to my Morphe x James Charles palette and just dipping into the shade ‘You’re Kidding’ and applying this right over that wing.

Then just apply some False Lashes and Mascara and you are all ready!

IMG_2840_Facetune_30-06-2020-17-50-10

and that is the finished look!

Thank you guys for reading! I hope you like this look!

Fourth of July Makeup Look | Fun, Cute, and Beginner Friendly!

thumbnail

Hey Beauties!

Welcome back to day two of my Fourth of July makeup series! If you missed day one’s look, you can check it out here!

Today’s look is another super easy, wearable makeup look, but this one does have a few intricate details within the look, that make it look a lot more complicated than it actually is!

Whether you’re able to go out with friends this Fourth of July or you are having low-key at home celebrations with family, this look is sure to blow everyone away and have you feeling festive and fabulous all day long!

IMG_2753

Screen Shot 2020-06-27 at 10.49.21 PM

First things first, you’re going to want to set your eyelids. I just use a little concealer and setting powder.

Then, taking a black liquid liner, I’m using the BH Cosmetics Liquid Liner, you’re going to go ahead and draw out this open wing.

How high you take this liner is ultimately going to depend on your own eye shape. For me, I have hooded eyes, so I took my liner a good bit above my crease, but that might not be the case for you.

The best way to decide how high or low you need to take the liner is to look at yourself straight on in the mirror and carefully map out which placement will best compliment your eyes, and go from there.

Don’t worry if your liner comes out a little messy when you first apply it, if there are any flaws you find, just grab some concealer and a flat concealer brush and carefully clean it up.

close up 2Now for the fun part! You’re going to want to grab some red, white, and blue liquid eyeliners to start adding the dots.

For my blue and white eyeliner, I used these Handaiyan matte liquid eyeliners that I bought off amazon.

I couldn’t find a red eyeliner in the shade that I liked, so instead I used my Ben Nye Rainbow Wheel face paint and dipped into the red paint in the wheel.

I took a broken bobby pin and simply coated the ends of the pin with the liners/face paint and carefully began dotting sporadically around the wing. You don’t have to be particular about this by any means, just make sure you leave room in between each dot to ensure you have room for all three colors.

Then I grabbed my CoverGirl LiquilineBlast eyeliner pencil in ‘Blue Boom’ and applied it to my waterline.

I wanted to really emphasize that blue, so I grabbed my Morphe x James Charles palette and a small detailing brush, dipping into the shade ‘Acapella’ and smudging that across my lower lash line.

To finish the look off, I just applied some mascara and false lashes, I used my Ardell Wispies as usual.

Look 2

And, that is the finished look!

I love how this look turned out! It’s so easy to do, while looking way more complicated than it actually is! With just a couple easy steps, you have a gorgeous, eye catching makeup look that you can rock this fourth of July!

I hope you guys like this look as much as I do! If you decide to recreate it, be sure to tag me on Instagram, Twitter, or TikTok I would love to see it your gorgeous faces rocking this look!

Color Block Eyeliner!

IMG_1197

Hey babes!

Welcome back to my blog! I hope you all are having a wonderful week!

If you know me, you’ll know that I have a love-hate relationship with eyeliner. I love how creative you can get with it, and that extra element it can really bring to a look, but at the same time creating looks with fun, unique liner is something I’ve always struggled a bit with. However, today we’re pushing those struggles away and having some fun with color!

This color block eye liner I did is so easy to do, but it really brings something extra to your look. I’m absolutely obsessed with how this look came out, so if you want to see how  you too can achieve this color block eyeliner in an easy three step process than keep scrolling!

13D9B4A4-FD8F-4D74-BBFC-A58D8E031D69

First you’re going to want to take a black liquid or gel eyeliner; I’m using the Kat Von D Tattoo Eyeliner in Trooper Black and outline a basic wing.

You don’t have to worry about your lines being perfect just yet because we are going to go back in with the black later on but give yourself a basic outline to work with.

9D56EA0D-1CB5-46D6-8A71-4B17CB1A51E6

Then taking the first color you choose to use, I’m using this pretty light pink liquid matte eyeliner from Handaiyan and carefully filling in that gap.

If you get any pink onto the black don’t worry, just grab that black liner again and clean up those edges sharpening the wing and connecting it in a thin line across your lash line.

IMG_1168_Facetune_20-05-2020-19-51-40

Then with your second color, I’m using this beautiful blue liquid matte eyeliner also from Handaiyan and carefully drawing a line over the black liner.

Again, if you happen to get a little blue too low onto the black, just grab your liner and clean it up as needed.

For my lower lash line, I grabbed my Morphe x James Charles palette and with a small pencil brush I’m just going to dip into the shade ‘Hello’ and smudge that across my lash line.

Grabbing a black pencil liner, I’m going to go ahead and apply it to my waterline.

For lashes, I’m using my favorite Ardell Demi Wispies and using a black mascara to blend my lashes with the fake lashes, as well as applying it to my lower lash line.

IMG_1193

And just like that we are done! I am so obsessed with how this look turned out. If you’re someone that wants to start incorporating color into their makeup looks without going crazy right off the bat I think this is a great way for you to ease your way into it! You’re getting to use these fun vibrant colors in such a easy, minimalistic way that literally anyone can rock!

I hope you guys love this look as much as I do! If you decide to recreate this look be sure to tag me on Instagram or Twitter I would love to see it!

If you have any suggestions for future posts that you would like to see be sure to let me know in the comments or reach out to me on social media! You guys can follow me on Instagram, Twitter, and TikTok @JulianaJawarish

GRWM: My 22nd Birthday Glam

IMG_08_Facetune_15-05-220-17-14-04

Hey Babes!

I hope you all have been holding up during these crazy times. I definitely didn’t expect to be stuck in quarantine on my birthday, and it’s been a bit hard accepting that, but I decided instead of moping around wishing I had different plans, I would make use of this  “free time” and still get glammed up for my day.

If you haven’t figured it out yet, today is my 22nd birthday which is so crazy to me! I know 22 is not old by any means but the fact that I am clearly an adult now, is just frightening…you know?

Anyways, like I said above, I figured doing my makeup today would be the best way to get out of this mental rut quarantine has had me in, so if you’d like to see the details on this look right here, keep on scrolling or if you’d prefer to watch a video of this look I filmed it for my youtube channel that you can watch here(link)

IMFacetune_15-05-2020-17-46-16

For this look I’m going to be using my BH Cosmetics Ultimate Neutrals Palette

Screen Shot 2020-05-15 at 9.15.32 PM Starting with this warm, orange toned shadow, (3rd shade in the second row) I’m just going to grab this with a fluffy brush and apply it to my crease as a transition shade.

Screen Shot 2020-05-15 at 9.20.35 PM

Then, on another fluffy brush, I’m  grabbing this rustic  shade (fifth shade in the top row) and  I’m also going to apply this to my crease.

Screen Shot 2020-05-15 at 9.23.47 PM

With that same brush, I’m grabbing this slightly deeper rustic shadow (6th shade in the top row) and I’m blending that over the last shade to deepen the look.

Screen Shot 2020-05-15 at 9.42.31 PM

With a slightly smaller fluffy brush, I’m dipping into this deep maroon shadow, (7th shade in the top row) and focusing this on the outer corner of my eye, blending lightly into the crease.

Screen Shot 2020-05-15 at 9.34.01 PM

Next, grabbing a flat shadow brush, I’m going to take this really pretty gold, metallic shadow (4th shade in the third row) and I’m packing this onto my lid, focusing mainly on the inner third of my eye.

Screen Shot 2020-05-15 at 9.43.14 PM

Now with an angled brush, I’m taking this matte brown shade and applying this to my outer v, dragging upward slightly to mimic a winged eyeliner.

Once you’ve applied this with the angled brush, you’re going to want to grab a fluffy brush and blend out any harsh lines.

Screen Shot 2020-05-15 at 9.52.27 PM

After that, I realized that the look just wasn’t standing out as much as I would’ve liked it to, so to darken the look and add a little more depth, I grabbed my Morphe X James Charles palette and with the shade spooky and with an angled brush I’m adding that to my outer v as well, and again mimicking a winged liner shape, before blending it all out with fluffy brush to give it a nice, smokey effect.

IMG_6859

I decided to add a subtle pop of color, so I grabbed a small shadow brush and dipped into the shade playground, applying it to my waterline.

Grabbing that angled brush again, I’m going back into that deep maroon shade we used earlier in the Ultimate Neutrals palette and I’m blending that along my lower lash line. To add even more depth, and elongate the eye, I’m going to take that dark brown we used earlier to and apply it to my lower lash line as well, focusing it only on the outer third of the lash line.

Then just grabbing a black pencil liner I’m going to tight line my eye, before grabbing my Kat Von D Tattoo Liner and drawing a very thin line across my upper lash line.

Screen Shot 2020-05-15 at 10.07.29 PM

For lashes, I’m using my favorite Ardell Demi Wispies and popping those on, blending them with my natural lashes with just a bit of mascara.

For lips I’m using three of my favorite product to get that perfect nude/pink look.

Starting with liner, I’m using this BH cosmetics waterproof lip liner in the color Muse. For Lipstick, I’m using my Tarte color splash lipstick in the shade Beach Babe. This is my absolute favorite nude lipstick, I’m obsessed!

To finish off the lips, I’m using another favorite of mine. The SU Cosmetics ‘Juliana’ gloss that I had the privilege of working with SU to create!

Screen Shot 2020-05-15 at 10.36.37 PM

It’s such a gorgeous pink/nude gloss that compliments such a wide variety of skin tones, not to mention it applies smoothly and smells amazing! If you’re interested in buying one, you can DM me on Instagram for all the details!

IMG_0910_Facetune_15-05-2020-22-20-26

And that is the finished look!

I hope you guys like this look, if you have any requests for future posts be sure to let me know in the comments or reach out to me on Instagram or Twitter I’d love to hear from you!

Super Bowl Sunday – New England Patriots Inspired Glam

7321B794-FC1C-4E43-BF01-07AD2D022DB0

Hi Loves!

Happy Super Bowl Sunday!

Just because today is about football, doesn’t mean we can’t get glammed up too, right? I was trying to think of some fun, new ideas for looks last night when I thought it would be fun to do a Super Bowl glam. I’m definitely rooting for the Patriots today, so I thought I would create a makeup look inspired by the New England Patriots!

Now I knew I needed to have very pigmented blues, reds, and whites, to achieve this look so I reached for my MorphexJamesCharles palette because, hello? What other palette has shadows this bright and pigmented?

I am really happy with how this look came out! If you want to find out exactly how I created this look then keep on reading!

ED4724CF-6E81-472F-BB48-9FAD0D7CCF78.JPEG

Let’s Get Started!

DSC_0594Like I mentioned earlier, I did this look using only the James Charles palette.

The first shade I dipped into was Acapella which is this gorgeous blue shade, and began lightly blending into my crease.

When using colorful shadows like this I definitely prefer to start very lightly and build my way up to the desired color, just to help the blending process go a lot smoother.

Then grabbing my concealer and a flat concealer brush, I just carefully cut my crease.

DSC_0599

Once that was done, I went back to my MorphexJamesCharles palette with a flat shadow brush, and went in with the shade Flashback and applied this all over my lid

DSC_0595

Then, with another flat shadow brush, I went in You’re Kidding and applying this to the outer half my lid

Then going back to that first shade we used; Acapella I’m taking it on a pencil brush and smudging it through my lower lash line.

After that I just lined my lid with some black liquid eyeliner, and took a royal blue pencil liner and applied that to my water line.

Then, I just applied some mascara and popped on my false lashes, today I used the Ardell Clutter Wispies

7BA1D6A2-4A58-43F2-AF9C-4A061E3E16BD

and, that is the finished look!

I hope you guys enjoyed this look, I had a lot of fun creating this Patriots Inspired makeup look!

Who are you rooting for in the Super Bowl?

If you have any requests for future posts, be sure to let me know either in the comments or through my  Instagram or Twitter !

Keep reading to get all the details on this look!

F676D039-91BE-44C7-8594-21DDBCC4D1BB

Let’s Get Started!

For this look I’m going to be using my Anastasia Beverly Hill’s Soft Glam palette.

To start off, I’m going to grab a little bit of Dusty Rose on a fluffy brush and blend it into my crease.

Then, dipping into the shade Burnt Orange, I’m applying that to my crease as well, grabbing a clean blending brush to blend the two shades together.

Moving on to the lid, I’m going to lightly spray my flat shadow brush with Mario Badescu’s Rose water spray and then dip into the shade Rose Pink and apply it all over the lid.

I love spraying my brush before applying my shadow to really get that pigmented look I want.

Grabbing another flat brush, I’m going in with the shade Sultry and applying this to the lid as welll, starting at the outer corner of my life, and working my way into the center of my lid.

Then, grabbing another fluffy brush, I’m going to grab a little bit of Cyprus Umber and apply that to my outer v, and blending it all together.

Once the shadows are done, I’m just going to tight-line and line my waterline with a black pencil liner, then grabbing a liquid eyeliner to create a wing on both eyes.

To pull the whole look together, I applied mascara to my top and lower lashes and added my Ardell Double Demi Wispies false lashes.

Hey loves!

Can you believe tomorrow is New Years Eve?! 2018 has seriously flown by!

With tomorrow being New Years Eve, I have been trying to think of what look I wanted to wear tomorrow night, and I thought I would share one of my options with you guys.

I thought it would be fun to play around with some bright colors and glitter, because let’s be real, what’s a New Years look with no glitter?

So, if you want to find out how the achieve this look, keep reading!

Let’s Get Started!

To start this look off, I grabbed my Anastasia Beverly Hills Prism palette and dipped into the shade Lure with a fluffy brush blending it into my crease.

Next, with that same fluffy brush I went into the shade Eden also applying that to my crease and then just grabbing a clean blending brush to blend the two shades togethe

Then, grabbing my concealer and a flat concealer brush I went ahead and cut my crease.

DSC_0366Once that was done, I grabbed my BH Cosmetics, Sixth Edition 120 Color Eyeshadow palette, and went with a flat eyeshadow brush into this really pretty turquoise blue shadow applying it all over my lid

Then with a small pencil brush, I took that same color and blended it to the inner corner of my lower lash line.

After applying that last shadow to my lid, the color was a little lighter than I wanted for this look, so I went ahead and dipped into this darker, royal blue color and applied it to my lid as well, focusing mainly on the outer third of my eye.

And with a small pencil brush, I also applied it to my lower lash line, blending it in with that turquoise color we applied a moment ago.

The two shades of blue were beautiful on their own, but because it’s New Years Eve, I wanted to go a little more out and take the look one step further with some glitter!

Now for a normal look, glitter glue is definitely the way you should go when it comes to loose glitter, however I did not have that on hand.

What I did have though, is a glitter lipgloss from CoverGirl.

Again, you definitely should go for the glitter glue to keep your look lasting much longer, and the glitter in place but desperate times call for desperate measures.

I took a tiny bit of this lip gloss with a small, flat brush and applied it to the inner corner of my lid, taking it the slightest bit into the center.

Then, with that same brush I grabbed this super pretty loose silver glitter from BH Cosmetics and applied it over the gloss to the inner corner of my lid.

Once the glitter had set I tight-lined my eye with a black pencil liner, and grabbed a royal blue liner to apply to my water line.

Then, finally I applied mascara to my top and lower lashes, and applied some false lashes; for this look I used the Ardell Double Demi Wispies.
